A grooming muzzle is the tightest fit of all the muzzles and can seriously restrict the mouth, preventing your dog from drinking, eating, and even panting. Grooming – designed for biters or anxious dogs, when you or a pet groomer need to get up close and personal. When choosing a soft muzzle, it's essential it allows enough room and movement for your dog to pant and breathe easily. Soft or loop – lighter and more pliable so easier to put on, soft muzzles don’t create as much space around their snout and often need to be removed if you dog needs to drink or eat. It must be adjustable and ideally with some sort of padding, with no sharp buckles, joins, or releases. For more lightweight, less tough versions you can opt for fabric such as mesh or nylon.Ĭomfort – look for features that are going to make wearing their muzzle as comfortable as possible. For aggressive dogs, you can get muzzles made from toughened plastic, leather, or metal. Material – the muzzle material depends on its use and how strong your pet can be. ![]() Measure the length and circumference of your dog’s neck and snout as you don’t want the muzzle too tight on their nose, but it needs to be snug enough that their face can’t slip out. Size – As well as generally sized muzzles, there are also muzzles sized specifically for longer snouted breeds such as German Shepherds and for shorter snouted breeds like pugs. Grooming muzzles are the most restrictive and should only be used for short periods at a time. Basket muzzles are a good choice for aggression, biting, and barking while soft loop muzzles are good for less aggressive pets or if you need to keep their mouth closed. Style – the muzzle style will address specific issues in your pet. Purpose – knowing why you need a muzzle for your dog – aggression, biting, barking, chewing, anxiety, dislike of being groomed, or having their claws clipped – will ensure you choose the right type for your pet.

Working on my own music is definitely edifying and therapeutic, but it’s intense. How does your process for recording a cover compare to creating original music? I was seeing it as a fun side thing that I could put out in between albums. I wasn’t at all expecting anything that happened from it to happen. But working on that song, I was like, “This is a really well-written song, objectively.” That part of me wanted to remind people about it. I went through a pretty intense pretentious indie kid phase, where I had zero appreciation for pop music. It’s also just such a good song, obviously. It has always been the epitome of a joyful, hopeful song for me. It reminded me of writing in the back of my mom’s minivan and a much simpler time. My mom really loves that song - around when it came out, she’d play it all the time. You know the songs that you just have memorized your whole life? It was totally one of those songs for me. What is it about “Put Your Records On” that made you want to cover it? ![]() I was working on it over a couple of weeks, and I finished it at the beginning of April. It was like how I used to put out music: work on something, finish it and then just throw it up on the internet. So, I was like, let’s switch it up and do something super happy because it felt like that could be therapeutic for me. I came back to my parents’ house, and I wanted to be productive, but working on something heavier just seemed like too much sadness at the time. I was set to open on tour for Dayglow - we actually played two shows in Chicago and then the rest got canceled. You released “Put Your Records On” in late April. I’m still just a kid messing around in Logic in a lot of ways. Because it’s just a ton of experimentation right now. I think might be something to save for when I know what I want to do more. ![]() But with most of the songs being super personal to me, it has always been really important that it sounds like me. I’ve thought about that a lot and there are definitely pluses - I’m not great at guitar or drums. Though it’s now your solo project, Ritt Momney used to be a larger recording band. Your garageĪlways back your car out of the garage to let it warm up. Too often, death from CO poisoning results with the victim simply falling asleep and never regaining consciousness. Medium exposure can cause you to experience a throbbing headache, drowsiness, disorientation, and an accelerated heart rate.Įxtreme exposure usually leads to unconsciousness, convulsions, cardiorespiratory failure, coma, and eventually death. Unfortunately, the symptoms are easily overlooked because they are often flu-like. Most people with a mild exposure to carbon monoxide experience headaches, fatigue, and nausea. What are some symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning? While there’s no risk of an explosion, as there would be with natural gas, the effects of CO in your blood are accumulative, and the longer you’re exposed to it the longer it takes to rid your body of its effects. ![]() It’s important to evacuate your home immediately when your CO alarm sounds. It works like a smoke alarm, sampling the air in your home and creating a loud alarm when levels of the gas are detected. The best way to alert you and your family to unsafe levels of CO is to install a carbon monoxide detector. Then, our blood cells attach with CO molecules instead of oxygen molecules, starving our organs from the oxygen they need.įor these reasons, CO is called the silent killer. We breathe in CO like normal air with no irritation to our nose or throats. Unlike natural gas or LP gas, which have a characteristic odor added to them to alert you, carbon monoxide has no fumes and no color. How do I know if carbon monoxide is present? Using kerosene heaters or charcoal grills indoors, or running a car in a garage can cause CO levels to rise high enough to result in death or serious illness. Vehicle exhaust fumes from attached garages also can become CO hazards. Your furnace, water heater, stove, space heaters, fireplace, woodstove, charcoal grill, and dryer can be sources of CO, especially if they are not in good working condition or have been installed without proper ventilation. Where does carbon monoxide come from?Ĭarbon monoxide is produced by devices that burn fuels. Many of those deaths happen during the winter months, when people are heating their homes and reducing the amount of outside ventilation.Įven if CO levels are not high enough to be fatal, they can produce serious illness. In a typical year, nearly 400 Americans die from carbon monoxide poisoning, usually in their own home or car. Many users have told us how Bear fits into their workflows of writing, organizing notes for work and school, building personal knowledge management systems, staying productive, publishing content, and more. ![]() One of Bear’s strengths is that it works well with a greater community of apps, large and small, thanks to features like support for Apple Shortcuts, x-callback-URLs, and standard file formats. But we’d like to think our fuzzy little app makes a small slice of the world better by helping people to work more efficiently, get organized, and even express themselves. We know Bear (probably) can’t solve any geopolitical tensions or build a bridge since it is, in fact, a notes app and not a construction company. The International Day of Friendship was proclaimed in 2011 by the UN General Assembly with the idea that friendship between peoples, countries, cultures and individuals can inspire peace efforts and build bridges between communities. Tools with 18 and 20 volts have less difference between them. This makes them good for smaller jobs, working overhead, or getting into tight spaces. With smaller batteries, 12-volt impact wrenches are more compact. Batteries: Volts and Amp Hours (Ah)Īll things being equal, higher voltage will give you more power-but there are cases for lower voltage. As a result, the twisting motion-known as reactionary torque-that you feel when using an electric drill is virtually eliminated. Fortunately, impact wrenches are extremely comfortable to use because the concussive blows smoothly transfer most of that high-energy torque directly to the fastener, not to your hand, wrist, or arm. However, all that brute strength isn’t very useful if you can’t control the tool. By comparison, cordless impact wrenches can easily produce torque outputs of over 250 foot-pounds, which is more than enough muscle to power-drive the fattest lags and bust loose rusty, corroded nuts. For example, most cordless drill/drivers produce about 50 foot-pounds of torque, and the average impact driver delivers about 125 foot-pounds. It employs both rotational force (torque) and short-burst concussive blows (impacts) to deliver an unparalleled amount of power. Unlike cordless drill/drivers and impact drivers, which excel at drilling holes and driving screws, the impact wrench is specially designed for tightening and loosening various hex-head bolts, nuts, and lag screws.
